Get Involved

Our success as a PAC relies on all of us pitching in and doing our part.

Luckily, there are many ways that you can get involved and support your child's education experience.

Whether you have a lot or a little - in time or money, there is an option for everyone to give and help create a safe, healthy and fun learning environment for Ocean Cliff students.

Volunteer Positions

We have created 3 tiers of volunteer positions to cater to everyone's preferences and availability - there's something for even the busiest parent. We encourage you to review the descriptions below and sign up for the one that suits you best.

1. MEMBER AT LARGE (NON-EXECUTIVE POSITION)

Time commitment = Low

This is a non-executive, on-call position. These roles are not voted on and are not required to attend PAC meetings.

Members at large are general parent volunteers who sign-up to be contacted as needed throughout the school year for smaller one-off tasks or event support.

Below are some examples of tasks that these volunteers might be contacted about:

•          Organizing our Purdy’s chocolate orders for distribution

•          Selling 50/50 tickets at a fundraising event

•          Distributing hot lunch to students when we are short on volunteers

•          Picking up an auction item for an upcoming event

•          Organizing items that support our sister school

To be put on the member-at-large email list, please email pac.oceancliff@gmail.com

2. COMMITTEE MEMBER (NON-EXECUTIVE POSITION)

Time commitment = Medium

This is a non-executive, ongoing position. These roles are not voted on and are not required to attend PAC meetings.

Committee members work independently at their own pace with support from their designated PAC executive to lead specific initiatives that help the PAC achieve their strategic goals.

To learn more about the different committee positions, including job descriptions, email pac.oceancliff@gmail.com

3. PAC EXECUTIVE (VOTED IN AT AGM)

Time commitment = Medium - High

These official positions are voted on at the AGM to work with the school and act as the official collective voice of OC parents as per the constitution and bylaws.
